All our containers are ISO standard shipping containers renowned for their strength and versatility, this makes them ideal for self-storage. We offer both 10ft and 20ft units, with exclusive 10ft units located on the first floor and versatile 20ft units available on both levels for added convenience and flexibility.
All units require a 1-month upfront deposit, which is fully refunded at the end of your rental, provided your account is up to date. Ground Floor: 20ft x 8ft x 8ft – £160 + VAT per calendar month (pcm). 1st Floor: 10ft x 8ft x 8ft – £90 + VAT pcm. 1st Floor: 20ft x 8ft x 8ft – £120 + VAT pcm.
Containers are 20ft x 8ft x 8ft giving you a total of 160sq ft and 1280 cubic ft. These units would typically hold the furniture and goods from a three-bedroom house. If you are not sure just give us a ring and pop down for a look to ensure you have enough space for what you need.
You can access your unit 24 hours a day 365 days a year. If you require special access then simply let a member of staff know and we will accommodate your requirements where possible.
The office is open from 9am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 9am to 12am on a Friday, we are not in the office at the weekend unless prior arrangement has been made. We are not in the office on Bank Holidays or between xmas eve and new year’s day. If you wish to enquire out of office hours then please leave a message on our answering machine on 01675 4709800 or send us a quick email with your requirements and we will get back to you as soon as we can. In the event of an emergency on site we have direct numbers displayed adjacent to the main gate should it be required.
We operate a one-month minimum contract on all our storage units and we would ask for as much notice as possible when leaving us so we can ensure customers awaiting units have a certain date.
We do offer basic insurance for goods in storage for a one of price of £45 which will last 12 months for goods up to a value of £2500. If you are storing high value items then we have access to specific cover for your piece of mind or you can simply arrange private cover through your own insurance company.
Ideally, we like to have one week’s notice as a minimum to enable us to finalise your account and any final payment or refund must be made. Before your deposit is refunded we will require the gate fob back we gave you or this will be cancelled and £10 deducted from your deposit. We expect you to leave the unit as you found it and all rubbish removed from site as we do not have any waste facilities at Self Storage Tamworth. Failure to comply with these requests will result in you losing your deposit.
We will require valid ID and a one month upfront deposit, which will be returned to you at the end of the hire to the account it was sent from. You will then pay your monthly fee in advance within the first seven days of the month, we will ask you to set up a standing order for the duration of the storage or you can pay by card if the hire is likely to be less than three months. Failure to pay the monthly invoice will result in declined access to the site and extra locks fitted to your unit until the payment is received. If not received by the next invoice your deposit will be lost and we will gain access to your unit and sell goods inside to cover any lost revenue. Once this has been done you hire period will end. If the goods sold do not cover the debt you have incurred we will revert to our terms and conditions and put you in the hands of our debt collection agency and we will have no further dealings with the matter. We do not accept cheques and we will require a credit card detail in any event to cover any final payment or arrears that may be incurred. All payments are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate. NOTE : you are responsible for ceasing the standing order once you have left site when the hire has finished.
We charge a one month up front deposit per unit. We have units available from £90 (+VAT) per month, please contact for more details as we have many options to suit your needs. We ask for this monthly charge to be paid within the first seven days of each month, either on receipt of invoice or set up a standing order if you are planning on using the facility longer than three months.
